Torticollis

Torticollis occurs when an individual head gets tilted with one side bring problem to move it from one side to another. This type of issue can arise at the time of birth or acquired. Torticollis is also called as “wryneck”. In this situation, the chin points to one head and the head falls to the opposite side on the shoulder. This type of problem arises in small baby during birth or can arise due to accident and internal neck injury. Treatment is very much important or else the child face will grow unevenly.

Causes:

Torticollis causes the neck muscle to get shorten. In such situation the baby’s head goes down and such situation is called as congenital muscular Torticollis.

  • Torticollis arises due to the time of a baby’s birth.
